Treatment for Fibrocystic breasts

The treatment is directed at relieving symptoms and correcting hormonal irregularities. Some simple measures, such as the adequate support of the breasts and perhaps wearing a bra at night, may provide relief. Anti-inflammatory medication helps reduce breasts pain significantly.
Reports suggest that vitamins, such as C, E, B6 and A, may also help relieve symptoms. Another food supplement that has proved beneficial is oil of primrose. This substance contains certain essential fatty acids that help some patients by reducing breast pain.
For women with irregular menstrual cycles, it is helpful to establish cycle regularity with oral contraceptives. Regular cycles seem to allow the breast tissue to recover more completely at the end of each menstrual cycle.
